Description
White admiral red spotted purple butterfly enjoying some fruit on the ground in a garden. This butterfly is of the southern group which lacks the white band of the northern white admirals, as they have evolved to mimic the poisonous pipevine swallowtail butterfly. It is a beautiful black color with bright blue markings. One of the prettiest butterflies I have seen, however I think all butterflies are beautiful. I am grateful to have them in my garden.
